31 Aug Welcome to Port Macquarie
I hope any dentists in NSW who read this will consider coming to the Glasshouse in Port Macquarie for the ADA NSW Convention next week. I have the privilege of being the chairman of the Local Organising committee (LOC) and my team have developed an interesting and challenging program.
We also have some different events that may interest you. I have arranged for the art gallery in the Glasshouse to display a range of photos taken by dentists from around NSW (even some from outside NSW). These guys and gals are good and i think you will be impressed by the standard of the photos. The Hastings Chamber Ensemble will be playing in the background for us during the Gallery viewing on Friday night. There are eight players (there violins, cello, piano, clarinet and horn) and I for one am really looking forward to hearing them play.
I have been deliberately mysterious about the final session titled “adapting to change”. This will be moderated by Pat Meaney (and who knows, there may be a tall second guy there too) and I think it is a must for every dentist. We have the keynote speakers on stage plus our state ADA President and the President of the Dental council of NSW. Government issues, dentist over supply, practice accreditation as well as clinical challenges will be discussed by our esteemed panel. And you have the opportunity to ask questions of the panel on whatever concerns you.
So no excuses just come along to learn and maybe even make some new friends.
