Prosthodontist –
Principle clinician and owner
Working at both the Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie surgeries, I am the principal clinician at Davis Dental.
I completed my bachelor degree in Dentistry at the University of Sydney in 1984 & went on to practice in Port Hedland working in rural & remote dentistry. In 1986 I moved to Perth, setting up his own practice in 1988.
In 1990 I was accepted into the Masters Programme in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Western Australia (UWA), upon completion of my degree, I accepted a post as Senior Lecturer in School of Dentistry, UWA, progressing to the role of senior staff member on Restorative Dentistry.
In 1997 I moved to the NSW North Coast, working as a Consultant Prosthodontist in Forster, Nambucca Heads, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie and Woolgoolga.
I have a wide range of experience in prosthodontics, including complex Paediatric procedures, maxillofacial prosthetics, medically compromised patients & prosthetic cases. I have lectured on Prosthodontics in all states of Australia plus several countries in Asia, Europe and the Americas.
I have a long history of involvement with the Australian Dental Association (ADA) culminating in being elected president of the Federal ADA in November 2023.
These roles allow me to be aware of what is happening at a government and regulatory level while still spending the majority of my time in Port Macquarie. It is also why you won’t see me on a Friday as most of the time I am in Sydney (although in 2020 Zoom was the option to flying).
